I should be grateful for any further information, particularly about the soil/insulation around the upper part of the container.
What, if any, precautions have been taken should rubble or debris prevent the doors from opening outwards?

Hi Gordon, Well i finally posted the finished product and i am very happy with the result. The top is backfilled with soil from the property and the doors open inwards so cannot get jammed. All in all a positive result and, at the least, something was done.
